GROCERY STORES

 Stores are located on most islands with Marsh Harbour offering the largest selection of goods.

 Generally they are open Monday - Saturday until 5 or 6 PM. (Closed Holidays and Sundays).

 You will find a selection of U.S., English, and Bahamian products, imported native fruits and vegetables, and local fisherman bring in fresh catches of fish, conch and crawfish.

 Sundays, the Bahamian Family Market in Marsh Harbour, LAV Convenience Store in Elbow Cay and Treasure Cay Convenience Store are open for a limited time and offer a selection of grocery items, freshly baked goods, assorted fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, & milk.

 You will shop with the locals and pay the same prices; most items are priced higher than in the U.S., because of the extra cost of freight and duty (import taxes).

 If you are arriving on a Sunday, we suggest you plan on eating out the first night (most restaurants are open on Sundays) or bring enough food for your first meal.
